Sales Maverick is a sales agency that was created for more than a few reasons. We exist to disrupt the sales industry. We exist to change how the world views a career in sales. We exist to help the backbone of our economy - small and medium sized businesses. A famous saying by Henry Ford sums it up beautifully – “Nothing happens until someone sells something”. This is so true – if a sale is not made, every occupation downstream is fruitless. It is frustrating that most schools at all levels do not teach sales, arguably the most important role in the company. But, somehow, choosing sales as a profession is mostly looked down upon. The vision of the used car salesman or movies such as Boiler Room and Wolf of Wall Street come to mind. But that is a largely false representation of sales professionals across the world. Some sales professionals are hardworking, disciplined, free thinking Mavericks. They know if they work hard enough, they will succeed. Other sales professionals may not know their true potential – they may have been stuck at a company that doesn’t appreciate them, coach them, or see their full potential. WHY I DO IT
Living a well-balanced life between family, business, and personal, is a continued pursuit and takes practice and consistent effort. Being an entrepreneur is more work, more risk, and in my opinion, more rewarding. For the most part, I can choose my own schedule, but if a client requires my immediate attention at 8pm on a weekday or Sunday afternoon, I need to be available. But, at the end of the day, it comes down to performance. If I do not perform, I risk my family not being well provided for. That is what drives me. Success in business allows me to enjoy family time how I want to. But it takes practice to maximize productivity during working hours. By doing so, it helps me stay more present during family and personal time. But it can be tough, I have to constantly remind myself that great things take time – enjoy the process instead of being consumed by the event I am striving for on a daily basis. My mantra is to be as successful as possible, but not to the detriment of my family. I will have many, many years to make money, but my kids will only be young for a short period of time, and time is not for sale. You don’t use it, you lose it.
